Yacht Recovered From Sinking in Spain

According to the Spanish press, the stern of a motor yachtsank while docked at the Varadero Port Denia in Spain around 8:30 a.m.Thursday, September 17.

Water entered the rear of the boat and after failing to bailthe water with four pumps, crew alerted the local fire department, reportsSpanish media. Six firefighters worked until 12 p.m. until they successfullyremoved all water and refloated the vessel.

While the name of the yacht isn’t officially confirmed, theimage of the yacht and rumors indicate that it’s 46-meter M/Y Sea Falcon II, which just completed arefit at the Varadero Port Denia.

Local media reports no injuries or oil contamination. Thecause behind the sinking is yet to be determined.
