According to an eyewitness, who asked to be anonymous, a RIBran aground onto a reef by the entrance to Nanny Cay Marina in Tortola around 7 p.m. onDecember 15.
“[The] boat hit right by the beach at the entrance to themarina,” he says. “We ran down the beach to help the guy. [The] boat hit on thebow [and] ripped out a big chunk, [but the] pontoons were still inflated, sothat’s why it’s still floating.”
The eyewitness heard screaming for help and found anambulance promptly at the scene. He adds that the police towed the boat to themarina and reports that he heard the pilot is okay but injured pretty badlywith a broken collarbone.
