A yacht has been salvaged in Miami after a fire last month that also destroyed several smaller vessels.
In video footage, M/Y UAI, an 86-foot Falcon yacht, was shown to have an entirely burned and blackened stern and flybridge. It was salvaged after being removed from Sunny Isles Marina. The fire occurred on June 6.
According to local news reports, the yacht was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at 5 a.m. on June 6. More than 25 units from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue fought the fire, aided by Miami Fire Rescue, the U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife. The fire, which engulfed several smaller boats nearby, was brought under control by 7:30 a.m.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
