5 April 2018 By Lauren Beck

Three vessels burned April 4 in a fire at a Turkish yard, local media Hurriyet Daily News reports. The news site maintains that two of the affected yachts were 25 and 30 meters in length, and a third was 10 meters. The yard involved reportedly was Taurus Marine and total damages were estimated at $40 million.

The Hurriyet Daily News quotes Zeki Gürses, general manager of the Antalya Free Zone Inc., who said the blaze started on board one of the vessels, and spread. The fire department and the forest directorate worked with the police and their water cannons to extinguish the flames.
