At the start of October, Chef Abigail Pawlik of M/Y Enterprise launched her lifestyle blog site, Nauti-Girl Cookery. Although she’s currently still working full time in the industry, Pawlik was fortunate after a very busy season to have a few weeks to get the website up and running.

“My web designer and I basically high-tailed it and got the site live within two weeks,” she says, explaining that it’s being tweaked as she goes. “It’s basically supposed to be almost like Sex and the City meets cookbook. It chronicles my pre-yachting days living in the Hamptons as a born-and-raised Sag Harbor native with funny anecdotes about me and my sister (who is also a yacht chef as of February) dating and cooking in the Hamptons.”

Her website, which includes a blog, events, recipes, and gallery of her eye-catching dishes, is also in the process of adding merchandise (such as shirts, hoodies, hats, totes, and tumblers). “My good friends at Yachtees Apparel have been helping me get everything perfected to what I envision,” she says. The store will soon showcase a dry-rub variety.

Pawlik also plans to team up with other chefs in the industry: “I have another yacht chef friend who is wanting to team up and under the Nauti-Girl Cookery umbrella develop a series of sauces and meal prep options,” she says explaining that the goal is to build a brand then do a cookbook.
