M/Y Freedom Crew Put on Holiday Food and Goods Drive in Fort Lauderdale

From December 5 to 19, the crew of Freedom are collecting donations at the Bahia Mar dock office at 801 Seabreeze Blvd in Fort Lauderdale. From canned and dried goods to hygiene items and clothing, the donations will be going to various food banks and homeless shelters in the area, including Convenant House Florida, HOPE South Florida and The Pantry of Broward.

The crew also put together about 100 mini-stockings to give something festive as well, so they’re accepting holiday-type item donations too.

“Now that we’re back in our home base of Fort Lauderdale for the holidays with a large network of marinas and boats that we know, we figure this is a great time to team up with everyone and give back in an even bigger way,” deck/stew Molly Priebe says. “That’s what inspired us to turn Dock, Walk, & Donate into a drive this time around — in hopes that we can give back big to our own home base and inspire others to keep doing so.”

While the dock office is only open during their usual business hours, after-hour drop-offs can be accommodated if you message the crew at @yachtfreedom110 on Instagram.
