Miami Yacht Show 2021 Postponed

4 November 2020 By Staff Report

The Miami Yacht Show (MYS) and SuperYacht Miami have moved to postpone the 2021 show in February, following suit after the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) announced it was canceling its 2021 show in light of growing COVID-19 concerns. The 33rd Miami Yacht Show was scheduled for February 11–15, 2021, at One Herald Plaza in downtown Miami.

The two Miami shows have run concurrently in recent years, and while MIBS has canceled for 2021, MYS will consider hosting the show in 2021 after consulting with show exhibitors on the show’s viability later in the year.

“This is the first time in our 33-year history we have been faced with circumstances that have caused us to reschedule the Miami Yacht Show,” said Andrew Doole, general manager and vice president Informa Markets, U.S. Boat Shows division, in a press release. Informa co-owns the show with the International Yacht Brokers Association.

“We have a commitment to our exhibitors and attendees to provide a valuable and productive face-to-face experience at the Miami Yacht Show each year,” Doole said. “As our key focus continues to be the improvement of the experience for our entire community, we are hopeful that we will be able to host an event later in the year, but we have to make that decision collectively with our community. Our goal is to bring Miami premier exhibitors, new products, and an exciting, spectator event whenever our next show takes place.”

MYS usually hosts more than 400 yachts and more than 200 exhibitors during the show. Stay tuned for updates.
