Besenzoni launched their LaPasserella in November. The completely electric gangway is lighter, more efficient, quieter, and very environmentally friendly thanks to using the latest technology — a simple electrical system.

Not only was becoming environmentally friendly a key objective for Besenzoni, but so was thegangway aesthetics. That’s why the platform is crafted from high-performance synthetic material created from high-quality virgin PVC. The gangway is 100 percent green (made without any wood) and is non-slip. No maintenance is needed since it doesn’t have to be treated with any special products — just brush it down with soapy water, and you’re done. Furthermore, it’s stain-resistant and impervious to the effects of sun or sea water.

The LaPasserella is part of a new, simplified range — Besenzoni still uses some of their traditional features but has also implemented new stylish features using eco technology. Not only is the swim platform lightweight (30 kilograms less than the traditional gangway) and energy-efficient (it can be operated with either a 12 Vdc or 24 Vdc power supply), but it’s a very quiet system since it’s operated electronically. Having a LaPasserella means there’s no hydraulic oil in the installation or engine room. Plus, there’s less use of materials like plastic or rubber pipes.

The LaPasserella can be operated from your smartphone using the Besenzoni Control Device App, as well as from the standard remote control provided. The modern design is available in a variety of different finishes and colors, which can be personalized to the yacht.
