Four vessels, including three yachts, have sunk following a fire in Greece.
The fire in Zea Marina, near the port of Piraeus, broke out at around 3am on Thursday. M/Y Sanctuary was among the yachts that sank. According to local reports, the fire began on Mirasol, a day-trip sailboat, before spreading to other boats in the vicinity. According to BOATPro data, M/Y Alkyone was also anchored in close proximity to the fire.

According to local reports, twenty firefighters from the local fire department and the Hellenic Coast Guard battled the fire for more than five hours but were unable to stop it until it had claimed the four vessels.
