Financial management and operational software provider Voly has announced the launch of its Payroll Module, which integrates payroll, contract management and leave planning into one platform.
After several years of development to transform payroll operations, Voly created a solution to simplify one of the complex administrative functions in yachting, which relied on manual processes and spreadsheets. Users can use the module to manage month-end payroll through the interface that is integrated with contact management and leave-planning tools for greater transparency and reduced risk of human error.
“This industry has long depended on spreadsheets and legacy workflows,” says Ian Flanagan, co-Founder of Voly. “We saw an opportunity to rethink payroll from the ground up. By bringing together operational knowledge and intelligent technology, we’re creating something that fundamentally changes how payroll is managed in yachting.”
The acquisitions of Voyonic, an established provider of payroll and employment services, and Workrest, a crew-founded platform for Hours of Rest functionality and foundations of an integrated leave planning system, provided a basis for Voly Crew, Voly Group’s unified crew platform.
Over the past six months, Voly’s product and engineering teams expanded on that foundation to build a fully integrated payroll system, which followed the launch of digital onboarding in October.
“Shipping the Payroll Module is a huge achievement,” Flanagan says. “But this is just the start. Now we focus on learning, iterating, implementing and scaling — continuing to build the most advanced payroll and crew management platform in the industry.”
