The Monaco Yacht Show is a busy affair. For crew, it’s a hectic time — which is why the show created the Captains & Crew Lounge as a refuge for crew during the show.
From September 25 to 28, the Lounge hosted a program of animations and top-flight catering services to allow crew to retreat from the bustling show. Dockwalk was proud to once again be the official media sponsor.
Attendance was high during the show as the MYS C&C Lounge welcomed all captains and crew of superyachts, either exhibited in Port Hercules or berthed off Monaco Bay, in a two-floor venue located aside the Yacht Club de Monaco on Quai Louis II.
Captains and crew enjoyed delicious meals at the restaurant on the ground floor for both breakfast and lunch, while on the second floor, the C&C Lounge opened its doors to all crew with comfortable seating, free refreshments, music, massages, entertainment, and free Wi-Fi access. Those who were seeking a deeper escape from the show could dive into an underwater world, ride a rollercoaster, or shoot zombies through a VR experience with the Oculus Rift S.
Maison del Gusto had expert chef masterclasses and food tastings, also giving away a 7.01-kilogram leg of Pata Negra 5J ham to the person who made the closest guess to the ham’s weight. FunAir awarded Deckhand Chase Lemacks a stand-up paddleboard for taking the best photo.
New this year, all captains and crew met up at the outdoor terrace of the C&C Lounge to unwind with their friends and toast the 2019 Monaco Yacht Show with live music at the C&C Lounge Afterwork events.
MYS and its partners are already looking to improve the C&C Lounge’s top services and entertainment options for 2020. Send your comments on this year’s edition to: info@monacoyachtshow.mc or leave them on Facebook: www.facebook.com/MYSCaptainsandCrewLounge
