Crewmember Charged With Sexual Battery

Crewmember Rafal Dowgwillowicz-Nowicki, 39, is accused ofraping a woman on board a yacht in Fort Lauderdale and has been charged withsexual battery, the Sun Sentinel reports.

Police maintain that Dowgwillowicz-Nowicki has been workingon the 130-foot M/Y Endless Summerfor the past two months. On February 25, he reportedly returned from a night ofdrinking to the yacht, which was docked at Universal Marine Center, accordingto police reports. After pushing his way into a stateroom, the Sun Sentinelarticle claims he threatened the woman and forced her to have sex with himagainst her will.

Bond was set at $15,000 with conditions, andDowgwillowicz-Nowicki was ordered to have no contact with the woman, to notleave Broward County and to stay at least 500 feet away from Endless Summer, although he reportedly isallowed to be aboard other vessels that don’t leave the dock.
