Charter Crew Honored in Monaco

23 September 2010 By Staff Report

At one of the yachting industry’s only black-tie functions that not only includes crew, but is really focused on them, Fraser Yachts tonight, September 23, honored its charter fleet’s best captains and crew.

The awards were based on the feedback submitted in guest questionnaires from the summer season. Fraser Yachts’ Marketing Director Patrick Coote presented the awards this evening at the Yacht Club de Monaco, pointing out that it’s the crew – more than the yacht – that truly determines the success and quality of a charter.

Completing 63 days of cheerful charter this summer, the “Best Crew on a Yacht under 40 meters” was the M/Y Touch crew and Capt. Andrew Law was present to accept the award. Led by Capt. Andrea Marozzi, crew en masse from M/Y South went on stage to receive accolades for “Best Crew on a Yacht over 40 meters.” They completed six successful weeks of charter this summer.

And finally, the “Charter Captain of the Year” went to the American captain Butch Vogelsang of the Feadship Dream, who received a Hublot watch and two weeks of free dockage at Vilanova Grand Marina in Barcelona.

Congratulations to all the winning captains and crew.
