More than 50 talented crewmembers around the world sent over 180 photos and 9 videos for the Burgess Crew Photographer and Videographer of the Year in association with Dockwalk competition. We were blown away by all the entries, and the judges from BlueiProd, Burgess, and Dockwalk were, once again, faced with a difficult task to select a winner.
The winning photo is Frozen Leapers by Sean Dods, and the winning video is Summertime in SE Alaska by Romar Topacio. The photo and video winners will receive a DJI Mini 3 (DJI RC) drone and features across Burgess, Dockwalk, and Boat International channels. The photo will even be the cover of Dockwalk’s December 2023 issue, along with interviews with both winners about their entries.
Crew were asked to share their interpretation of “View from the Deck” — whether it was the mesmerizing landscapes, vibrant sunsets, wildlife encounters, or unique perspectives that make time at sea truly unforgettable. We wanted to see a glimpse into the breathtaking sights and experiences they encounter while sailing the high seas, along with highlighting the significance of responsible and sustainable practices within the yachting industry.
