Dr. Guy Harvey, a world-renowned marine artist and ocean conservationist, partnered with Anastasia Confections to introduce the Guy Harvey Florida Collection Chocolate Box in early November 2020. Beyond being the perfect gift for any occasion, this gourmet selection of his favorite tropical flavors from the Sunshine State gives back in a unique way.

“It’s a big deal because a portion of proceeds from the Florida Collection Chocolate Box benefits ocean conservation through the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, a nonprofit that is dedicated to saving the seas, supporting groundbreaking research, and helping foster the next generation of ocean conservationists,” says Jane Tebbe-Shemelya, chief revenue officer for Guy Harvey Enterprises. “Dr. Harvey has built a global lifestyle brand featuring apparel, footwear, accessories, home, pet products, and merchandise designed with marine wildlife art that is unmatched in authenticity and visual appeal. This partnership was an added progression,” she says.

As with all Guy Harvey-licensed merchandise, a portion of proceeds benefit ocean conservation through the foundation, which helps ensure that future generations can enjoy and benefit from a properly balanced ocean ecosystem.

“What makes the new Guy Harvey Chocolate Box stand out is that the flavors are Guy’s favorites, and this is the first chocolate box design that combines stunning marine art designed by a world-renowned artist with an assortment of delicious flavors and at the same time benefits ocean conversation,” says Tebbe-Shemelya. “It’s sweet any way you look at it!”

As a company that is always looking for brand-appropriate partnerships that support the foundation, Tebbe-Shemelya says this was a natural joint venture since Anastasia Confections (part of Las Olas Confections & Snacks) is a Florida-based company. “And because who doesn’t love chocolate?” she points out.

“It’s a big deal because a portion of proceeds from the Florida Collection Chocolate Box benefits ocean conservation through the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation, a nonprofit that is dedicated to saving the seas, supporting groundbreaking research, and helping foster the next generation of ocean conservationists,” says Jane Tebbe-Shemelya.

Further, Guy Harvey has begun launching a new line of seasonal apparel. “We have introduced select performance long-sleeve shirts made with REPREVE, the leading, most trusted, branded performance fiber made from recycled materials including plastic bottles,” says Tebbe-Shemelya. “This is a must-have for crew and anyone who enjoys the water. There is also the added benefit of supporting ocean conservation and conserving the marine environment at the same time.”

Through other partnerships, they’ve recently introduced stainless steel straw sets, which enable yacht crews to limit their use of plastic straws that kill more than 100,000 sea mammals each year. “We have also introduced new signature eco-friendly pet beds for all boaters who love to bring their furry best friend on board, which are bound to keep them comfortable during long sea voyages. The beds are made with 100 percent biodegradable water-based ink, using recycled materials as much as possible.”
