RMK Merrill-Stevens Adds New Services for Refit

RMK Merrill-Stevens is keeping busy with their new technical services, staff, and vessels coming into the yard all the time. To accommodate them is their new Pearlson shiplift rail system that allows for a no-stress transfer. “The system enables the lift to avoid vessel twisting or sagging that has been common for far too long,” says Brent Allsop, RMK MS North Operations/Project Manager.

“We want to be more than a successful business and/or partner — we want to be a voice for the industry,” Nicole Squartino says.

According to Nicole Squartino, marketing director for RMK Merrill-Stevens, they are working on creating a stronger connection. “We want to be more than a successful business and/or partner — we want to be a voice for the industry,” she says. The yard wants superyacht captains and crew to know they’re open, and that they’re here for them in new ways — RMK has been asking crew what kind of amenities they want while waiting for their yacht to be serviced.

“Coming in the near future, captain and crew amenities will include a lounge and workspace area,” Squartino says. They’re looking at putting in a gym, crew area for a covered balcony facing the Miami River, as well as an outside seating and relaxation and eating area.

RMK has also added new testing procedures to keep everyone safe, with weekly testing for staff.
