Marina operator D-Marin has announced the completion of an upgrade at Gouvia Marina in Corfu, Greece, to increase capacity and operational efficiency. A total of 104 new berths have been added for yachts up to 50 meters, equipped with new Smart Pedestals for remote management via D-Marin’s app.
Key considerations for the marina included ESG principles, such as adding high-pressure water filtration systems, electric vehicle charging and its first on-site solar power installation. This is D-Marin’s first project of this nature in Greece, and it’s expected to generate approximately 167 Mwh of electricity annually, covering around 20 percent of the marina’s operational demand.
The new storage areas and parking, along with updated visitor and crew facilities, enhance accessibility and comfort.
“The upgrade of Gouvia Marina goes far beyond infrastructure," says Ioannis Koutsodontis, regional director of D-Marin Greece. "It is a complete transformation that combines construction excellence, technological innovation and sustainability, while creating a premium destination that is open, vibrant and closely connected to the local community of Corfu.”
