On May 1, 2010 Mexican immigration law changed. Previously, controlled nationalities needed to have a visa in place prior to going to Mexico. As of May 1, 2010 controlled nationalities that have a valid USA multiple entry visa, are not required to secure a visa in advance, they are issued a standard tourist card like the rest of the crew at the first port of entry. This new protocol was tested during the first week of May in Ensenada and it is working.
