Hi, I’ve got just over 14 months before I complete my 22 years in the RN. I am currently a CPOET(ME) (ex – CPOMEA) and looking towards working on cruise ships. I have sent off my LIA application to the MCA but have not yet had a reply. Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice regarding where I will be able to start on the career ladder, as I’m not sure how much my military experience counts in the civilian world. Qualifications wise, I have a BSc Engineering and Management studies, HND Marine engineering, and I’m a qualified EOOW1. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
