heading out to Turkey this season and wanted to know the yachts legal requirements for diving in Turkish waters. we have a a Padi Instructor on board and full diving set up.

There are various ares where diving is not permitted on protection of historic sites grounds (Kekova roads and the sunken city for one) but others are basically local protectionist laws to keep local dive guides employed. I have a map of the restrictions around Bodrum (if i can find it) but I got my advice for free (? - included in the price!) form our agent, Begum Yachting, who I would strongly recommend for assistance whilst cruising in Turkey. We have enjoyed some good spots (plenty of dive sites around Kas) and not been at all bothered by local laws. I hope this helps a little.
