We decided to celebrate this occasion with a dinner in a private room instead of having another BBQ.
Speaking of BBQs - We would like to thank all those who attended the Chrissy party. We had 70+ people in a typical Aussie Style atmosphere and it was a great success Thanks to all who assisted in making this a great event. Dennis Sindry was the M.C. and supplied the live and taped music and John and Sylvia's bangers were as always a big hit. Thanks also to the committee for all the behind the scenes work and it was great to see some new faces.(Some of us - the early arrivals - were fortunate enough to enjoy Richard Goodstein trying to hand a huge Australian Flag over the high branch of a nearby tree...pity it was not taped....it took over an hour !!!!!)
There was lots of great food and drink, games and we gave away seven prizes for the raffle which raised a few more dollars for our bank account..The fighting Squids Australian Rules Footy team were well represented and they presented their annual awards.
