Shelter Bay Marina is situated inside an almost totally enclosed cove on the western shore of Limon Bay, protected by the Cristobal breakwater. The area is hurricane free and has clean air. The nearest urban area is Colon which is 30 mins away by road. There is a free bus service to this town every weekday morning. The full service marina offers berths for vessels up to 74m and includes a swimming pool and hotel rooms. Flora and fauna enthusiasts will enjoy the national park which surrounds Shelter Bay Marina and the Smithsonian Institute's tropical research facilities at Barro Colorado and Galeta Island. History buffs will be interested in the Spanish colonial forts and US WWII fortifications.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you.
