This plantation-style resort occupies a garden estate on the Atlantic coast, while the marina is two miles from the resort on the protected west side of the island. The resort offers facilities for scuba diving, bone and deep-sea fishing, snorkelling, sailing and biking. It also has its own international airport, served by Southern Air and the resort's charter service. Long Island itself is a surprising mix of landscapes – steep cliffs exchange places with hidden beaches and coves, shallow bays and hilly areas. The many points of interest include Arawak Caves and the world's deepest Blue Hole.
