Special nautical events at the Marina Cascais include the Portugal Match Cup (Swedish Match Tour), the Cowes-Cascais Race (Royal Ocean Racing Club) and ISAF World Championships. The Estoril/Cascais area features excellent hotels, white sandy beaches, a beautiful bay, elegant seafood waterfront restaurants, the 15th century Fortress of Cidadela, the Casino Estoril (the largest in Europe), the new Estoril Congress Centre and luxurious golf courses. Lisbon, the capital, is 20km away, around 20 minutes by train.

With data on more than 500 Superyacht marinas, the Dockwalk team are pleased to launch our online Superports directory.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you. As you travel around the world, you can recommend the best bars, friendliest agents, most efficient electricians and the quickest taxis - to name but a few. And as the directory builds up, you can look up services that have been recommended by other Captains and Crew.
