Access to the town and marina is through the beautiful Parc Naturel des Marais du Cotentin. The port itself is in a locked basin surrounded by greenery in the heart of the town, which is complete with medieval churches and a marketplace. For sailing trips, the D-Day beaches and the Cotentin peninsula are close by, while land excursions can include Mont Saint Michel, the stud farms of St Lô and the tapestry at Bayeaux, all of which are extremely popular attractions. Despite being modern enough to fully service superyachts, the marina and town retain much of their period charm.

Welcome to Superports!

With data on more than 500 Superyacht marinas, the Dockwalk team are pleased to launch our online Superports directory.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you. As you travel around the world, you can recommend the best bars, friendliest agents, most efficient electricians and the quickest taxis - to name but a few. And as the directory builds up, you can look up services that have been recommended by other Captains and Crew.

So if you've had a great night out, found the best surf shop or been impressed with an emergency repair, click on the Recommend A Local Service link and share it with crew around the world.
