Situated in the centre of Southampton, Ocean Village provides a wealth of facilities including shops, restaurants, cinemas and bars as well as outstanding recreational facilities. The marina basin, formerly used for commercial ships, is deep enough to offer mooring facilities for large yachts and has become famous for hosting the start and/or finish of around the world yacht races, such as the Global Challenge and ‘Clipper Round the World’. Ocean Village also offers a great place from which to cruise, with the picturesque Beaulieu River to the west and Portsmouth Harbour only a few miles to the east.

Welcome to Superports!

With data on more than 500 Superyacht marinas, the Dockwalk team are pleased to launch our online Superports directory.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you. As you travel around the world, you can recommend the best bars, friendliest agents, most efficient electricians and the quickest taxis - to name but a few. And as the directory builds up, you can look up services that have been recommended by other Captains and Crew.

So if you've had a great night out, found the best surf shop or been impressed with an emergency repair, click on the Recommend A Local Service link and share it with crew around the world.
