Conveniently placed between the ports of Dublin and Cork on the southeast coast of Ireland, Kilmore Quay is a rural fishing village renowned for its thatched cottages, friendly atmosphere, good walks, excellent restaurants, and raucous entertainment in local pubs. Cruising, angling and diving are all well catered for in the immediate area, while just two kilometres offshore lie the Saltee Islands, which form the most famous bird sanctuary in Ireland. The village is 22 kilometres from Wexford Town and 19 kilometres from the ferry port at Rosslare. An annual seafood festival is hosted in mid-July.
