Corfu is the largest island off the northwest coast of Greece and a well known European summer resort. Gouvia, just seven kilometres north of Corfu Town, is the principal yacht harbour of the island and offers 960 berths and greatly improved services, including a 65-tonne boat lift and dry-land storage for up to
400 boats. To the south are the superb cruising areas of the Ionian Sea, including the islands of Paxos, Lefkas, Cephalonia and Zante. Less windy than the Aegean in summer, there are many appealing villages and excellent beaches. Within the marina is a repair facility, post office, ATM and swimming pool.
