The name of Carlo Riva is known to nearly all yachtsmen on account of the famous Aquarama speed boats that he designed and formerly produced. In the early 1970s, Riva turned his energies to creating one of Italy's first really modern marinas near Rapallo. The marina provides good facilities and quotes inclusive mooring fees. Within easy reach of the big city of Genoa, Rapallo is set in the breathtaking Gulf of Tigullio, close to Italy's most famous coastal village of Portofino. An excellent nearby restaurant has a panoramic view on the gulfs of Tigullio and Portofino.

Welcome to Superports!

With data on more than 500 Superyacht marinas, the Dockwalk team are pleased to launch our online Superports directory.

Previously only available in print, the Superports directory contains information including contact details, facilities at the berth and local services. It also provides vital logistical information such as lat/long co-ordinates, berth numbers and sizes, prices and distances to local airports.

What's more, the whole thing works with Google mapping. Select a region or enter a location, rollover an anchor and see the name, location and photo of the marina. Click on it to load all the info on your chosen marina.

When you've chosen a marina, you'll notice a list of local services classifications in the right hand column. Right now it's fairly empty. That's where you come in.

We're building the site around our users, and we want to publish the things that are most useful to you. As you travel around the world, you can recommend the best bars, friendliest agents, most efficient electricians and the quickest taxis - to name but a few. And as the directory builds up, you can look up services that have been recommended by other Captains and Crew.

So if you've had a great night out, found the best surf shop or been impressed with an emergency repair, click on the Recommend A Local Service link and share it with crew around the world.
