The Port d'Hercule in Monaco has something of an atmosphere of a stage set, thanks to
the surrounding buildings that rise tier upon tier up the hillside. Monaco consists of four
principal areas; Monaco Ville – the old town – which sits on the 60-metre-high rocky outcrop next to the port; Monte Carlo, on the opposite side, famous for its casino and Grand Prix circuit; La Condamine; and Fontvielle, which is the industrial area to the south. Monaco is
also renowned for the ever-increasing Monaco Yacht Show, held in September.
