Cogolin is a purpose-built marina village backing on to nearby Port Grimaud. Although fairly quiet during the winter, the area is buzzing in the summer when many Parisians and Francophiles visit their holiday homes. The surrounding developments are famous for their old-style architecture, which has proved highly sought after. There is an abundance of good shops, with the Grand Casino shopping centre on the main road available for the replenishment of stocks. Cogolin is an attractive place to berth to avoid the hectic port and commerce of Saint-Tropez, while staying within the bay.
