Dockwalk is publishing its first-ever “user-generated issue” as our December 2009 issue.
We will pay you, our readers, for your submissions.
Tell us your story. We’d like articles on:
- cruising stories
- job tips and tricks
- crew life humor stories
- stories of lessons learned the hard way at sea
- build/launch story
- off-the-boat travel stories
- money and job advice
Tips, advice and stories from all positions needed:
Chefs: your story, favorite recipes, galley tips, best provisioners
Stewardesses: your story, fun cocktail recipes, cleaning/storage tips, favorite products
Deckhands: your story, tips, favorite deck products
Engineers: your story, tips, favorite gear
Have a feature article idea? Pitch it to us. Just submit a Word document on the submissions page outlining your idea(s). If we like it, we’ll be in touch.
Want to be our show correspondent? Tell us why you’d make a great reporter to cover the Fort Lauderdale show.
Play golf? How about reporting on Pinmar’s golf tournament in Palma or the Captain’s golf tournament in Fort Lauderdale? If you’d like to be considered, just let us know.
Got what it takes to cover the news? Let us know and you can be a regional correspondent when the news breaks in October.

If you can shoot or draw by assignment, let us know as we’ll need some feature articles illustrated.
And, get this, we’ll pay you!
*$500 for feature articles, be sure to send us your idea first and we’ll assign you the
article
*$100-$250, shorter articles
*$25-$100 for short news items, favorite gear pieces, tips and tricks, advice
*$200 for the cover image
*$20 per crew photo with IDs
If you don’t make it in the user-generated issue, don’t fret, we’re not limiting your input to just this issue. We’re hoping for a ton of great submissions that we can highlight in future issues as well.
