Since this is our first-ever competition we’re being extra generous and giving you two chances to win:
- A prize draw for all members of DOCKWALK.com who meet the entry criteria detailed below
- A competition where the winner will be the member with the most friends on DOCKWALK.com
And that’s not all – to give you an even better chance of winning, we’re having a separate draw and competition for each of our three regions – North & Latin America, Europe & Africa and Asia & Oceania.**
HOW TO ENTER AND WIN:
Entry is free and very simple:
- • Sign up to DOCKWALK.com (if you haven’t already done so)
• Have a profile rating of three stars or more. How to achieve this is explained below, but make sure to upload a photo of yourself for your profile, as those members without a photo won’t be included in the draw or competition.
• Keep your itinerary up-to-date by entering your location in My Itinerary, which must include where you’re going to be on Saturday 27th September 2008, when the draw will be made.
Once you have done this you automatically will be entered into the prize draw and the competition. We’ll select the winners for the prize draw at the Monaco Yacht Show on Saturday 27th September 2008. We’ll also confirm the competition winners , who will be the DOCKWALK.com members with the most friends when the prize draw is made at 1pm CET.
HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR PROFILE RATING
Stars (and half stars) are awarded on the following basis:
• Enter your Age, Nationality, Role, About Me, My Interests – ½ star
• Add a photo of yourself – ½ star
• Enter your current location – 1 star
• Have greater than 10 Friends – 1 star
• Post a photo in the last two weeks – 1 star
• Write a Blog in the last two weeks – 1 star
• Post a Forum entry in the last two weeks – ½ star
The number of stars you have at any time is displayed on your My Dockwalk page, as well as anywhere where your profile photo appears on the site. Profile ratings are displayed with a maximum of five stars but if you’re really active on the site and post lots of photos and blogs and contribute to the forums regularly then your total could actually exceed five.
Remember, only members with a profile rating of THREE stars or more will be eligible for the prize draw and competition, and you must have uploaded a photo of yourself.
MAKING FRIENDS
Here are some tips to help you make lots of friends and increase your chances of winning one of those iPhones:
• Make friends with existing members of DOCKWALK.com. Just go to the Profiles page in the new Community section of the site where you can view all member profiles. If you see someone you would like to be friends with, just click on their username or photo. This will take you to their My Dockwalk home page. Underneath their profile information on the right-hand side you will see an ‘Add as Friend’ link. Click on this and it will send them a message telling them that you want to add them as a friend.
• If you already know the name of the person you are looking for, then you can use our Find Friends search facility, which appears at the top right of the pages in the Community section of the site.
• If you can’t find your friends or colleagues, tell them to sign up to DOCKWALK.com! You can do this quickly from your My Friends page by entering their email addresses in the panel on the right and sending them an invitation. We’ve prepared a simple message for you or you can write your own. Once they have signed up you can add them as your friend. Very easy.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
The Competition and Free Prize Draw (as defined below) is open to all registered members of the DOCKWALK.com website (the "Website") who are aged 18 or over at the closing date for the Competition/Prize Draw of noon on 27th September (UK time) (the "Closing Date"), except those who at any time between the date of launch of the Competition/Prize Draw and the date on which the winner is selected (inclusive) are employees of Boat International Media Limited (the "Promoter") and any of its holding companies or wholly owned subsidiaries , or any marketing services agency, handling house or other company involved directly with the administration of this Competition/Prize Draw, or any member of their households.

- To enter you must be a registered member of the Website and you must have a star rating of three or more and have a User Profile Picture and a Current Location uploaded on the Closing Date of the Competition/Prize Draw. You must complete your My Itinerary so we know where you are on the Closing Date. You can find details on how to become a registered member, how to obtain a star rating of three or more and how to upload a User Profile Picture and Current Location on the Website. If you satisfy the criteria within these terms and conditions and you are eligible to enter then you will automatically be entered into the Competition/Prize Draw.

• Only one entry per registered member is permitted. Individuals with multiple member profiles will not be entered. A registered member can only win one prize in a region. A registered member cannot win both the Competition and the Prize Draw in a region and if this does happen, the registered member concerned will be the winner of the Competition but the Prize Draw will be re-drawn.
• Proof of satisfying these terms and conditions and the eligibility criteria, is not proof of our receipt of your entry. No responsibility can be accepted for entries that are lost, delayed or damaged. Correspondence will be entered into only at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.
• All entries must be received by the Closing Date in accordance with these terms and conditions. Entries not submitted in accordance with these rules or incomplete or illegible entries will be disqualified.
• No purchase is necessary.
• The Competition and the Free Prize Draw will take place on the Closing Date. The winners will be announced on the Website and in DOCKWALK magazine the week commencing 15th October 2008 and winners will be formally notified by email as soon as practicable either before or after this. Prizes must be claimed within 30 days of the Closing Date. Prizes will be sent to the winners registered address as soon as practicable either before or after this.
• The prizes are six Apple Store or Network carrier vouchers to cover the cost of purchase of an Apple iPhone 3G. The prizes are split into three different regions between North and Latin America, Europe and Africa, and Asia and Oceania. There are two prizes available per region. In each region there is one prize for the registered member who meets the requirements specified in these terms and conditions with the most friends on the Website on the Closing Date (the "Competition") and one prize that is entered into a free prize draw (the "Free Prize Draw") for registered members who meet the requirements specified in these terms and conditions. No alternative prizes may be requested although the Promoter reserves the right to substitute cash value for the prize or offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value. Prizes cannot be transferred to any other person. The prizes do not include contracts with network providers.
• For the Free Prize Draw, the prize will be awarded to the first valid entry drawn at random by an independent, supervised individual. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter in relation to that decision.
• For the Competition, the prize will be awarded to the registered member in the relevant region who has the most friends on the Website and satisfies all criteria in these terms and conditions. In the event that there are joint winners in a region for the Competition, then such winners will be entered into a draw and the prize for the Competition will be awarded to the first valid entry drawn at random by an independent, supervised individual. The decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into by the Promoter in relation to that decision.
• The Promoter will not be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in the Competition/Prize Draw.
• Entrants accept that, if they win, the Promoter will have the right, without additional payment or permission, to use their name, age, country of residence and likeness for the purposes of announcing the winner of this Competition/Prize Draw and for related promotional purposes to be published on the website or DOCKWALK magazine. Competition/Prize Draw winners may be required to take part in or cooperate with post-event publicity.
• Competition/Prize Draw winners agree to keep confidential any knowledge about the Promoter and its business and personnel received by them as a result of the competition.
• No responsibility is accepted for inaccurate prize details supplied by sponsors.
• The promoter reserves the right to alter, amend or cancel the Competition/Prize Draw without prior notice.
• Use of a false name or address, e.g. name by which the entrant is not usually known, will disqualify them from receiving any prize. The Promoter reserves the right to oblige any potential winner to provide documentary proof of their identity and address as directed by the Promoter before such person may claim their prize.
• We will keep and use your personal data in accordance with our privacy policy which can be found at www.dockwalk.com/PrivacyPolicy.aspx.
• By entering this Competition/Prize Draw all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions and our privacy policy and by any other requirements set out in the competition material.
• The liability of the Promoter to you or any third party in contract, tort (including negligence or breach of statutory duty) misrepresentation or otherwise arising in connection with the performance or contemplated performance of its obligations under the Competition and the Prize Draw shall be limited to the value of one prize.
• Except for liability for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Promoter, the promoter accepts no responsibility for any loss or damage suffered by or sustained to persons or properties including without limitation consequential loss or damage whether caused by the Promoter, its employees or otherwise as a result of the arrangement for supply or the supply of the prizes to the prize winners.
• The prize winner acknowledges that the Promoter is not the manufacturer of or the supplier of the prizes and the Promoter does not give any warranty or representations in respect thereof.
• The Competition/Prize Draw promoter is Boat International Media Limited (registered number 2650007), registered office First Floor, 41-47 Hartfield Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 3RQ, England. Enquiries relating to the Competition/Prize Draw (including enquiries about the name of the eventual winner or the personal data collected about you as a result of your entry) should be addressed to "Competitions & Terms BIM" and sent to the Promoter at the above address. The competition is run via the Website www.dockwalk.com.
• The names of the winners and the winning entries will be sent to anyone who writes within three months after the Closing Date, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, to the address stated in the paragraph above, requesting details of the winning entry. The Promoter reserves the right therefore to disclose the name of the winners on request from a third party.
• These rules are governed by English Law and matters relating to the Competition/Prize Draw will be resolved under English Law. The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
• Please retain a copy of these rules for your reference.
