Several days ago I asked a perfectly reasonable and polite question in the "Bluewater" thread and it said it would require moderator approval. So a week later it hasn't been posted...???... Do you disapprove of me asking them simply if they have IMO/STCW approval for their coursework? Is that not a legitimate question for someone who sends crew to classes to ask?

Yes we are aware that the forum was restricted and apologise for any inconvenience, however, libelous accusations were being made against bluewater that were not based on fact.
We can confirm that we are STCW approved for all of the training courses that we provide in the training facilities that we use. FYI, the IMO does not approve courses, it is the flag states themselves that can provide certification.
The confusion was caused by the fact that some countries, specifically Spain and Italy, do not recognise UK basic training certificates. This was being presented to suggest that they do not recognise bluewater training certificates, which is of course true but misleading.
