The quick action of the crew of M/Y Crescendo may very well have saved a life. On Monday, July 5th while in Juneau, Alaska, the crew rescued a drunk man who was attempting to swim the Gastineau Channel. They pulled the man from the freezing cold water and handed him over to the U.S. Coast Guard. The local newspaper, The Juneau Empire, reported that the intoxicated swimmer was taken to the local jail and held for 12 hours, in order to recover from his drunken swim attempt. He was release and no charges were filed. Kudos to the heroic efforts of the M/Y Crescendo crew.
