Registering Motor scooters on yachts

We are a private expedition vessel that is to be carrying 2 Vespa 50cc motor scooters on board

The vessel is Cayman Islands flagged, and at this stage the scooters are unregistered, however the Owner has all ocean region travel plans. Does anybody reading this have any experience with this subject?

I had these registerd on the yacht via the flag registry as yacht equipment and approved in the country of registry with license plates , and have not had any problems world wide so far.

The mentioned one was registerd in France at the time.
