I’m arriving in Florida soon and plan to dockwalk during the Boat Show. I heard rumors about CBP officers cracking down and I’m wondering what I should say to American Officials at the Boat Show if they question me. Were foreign dockwalkers really deported last year, should I be worried about being deported and ruining my yachting career before it starts?

I haven't actually seen CBP and ICE agents on the docks but I have heard tons of rumors. I will say that more and more captains are insisting that workers hired in the US, either dayworkers or long term crew, have a green card or are a US citizen/passport holder. The vessel I work on will absolutely not accept cv's without one of these two documents.
