November 18, 2010. Motor Yacht Slojo will be undertaking a first ever combined relief effort and on board fund raiser for YachtAid Global www.yachtaidglobal.org
They will be transporting aid for a NGO on Moorea www.punareo.pf and doing an underway relay when they depart San Diego early December.
The relay will consist of 24-7 use of the rowing, biking and running machines by owner, crew and guests.
Pledges for $$ per mile will be secured in advance.
The objective is to get Puna Reo things they need, and to build awareness about YachtAid Global. look for info at this site soon www.slojoyagchallenge.org

We are absolutely shocked at the positive response to the Slojo YAG Challenge and the funds raised so far.
Slojo does not cast off for another 80 - 85 hours or so, and we have already exceeded our highest target ideas.
If the Captain approves of full disclosure of funds raised, we will post the information here.
In the very near future, I see a virtual competition between yachts utilizing this YAG Format. as a framework.

Slojo is off the dock early this morning. They had a 24 hour delay getting out of San Diego but all is in order and they are now about 60 nm south of here.

Motor Yacht SLOJO ETA Nuku Hiva is 1800 utc on December 23. We will be releasing the figures on total funds raised.
