JOB STATEMENT FOR THE RECEPTIONIST/SALES SECTOR:The purpose of this role is to perform a range of administrative, clerical and social media duties without the direct supervision of the manager.  The Receptionist/Sales Rep for training courses will be expected to exercise discretion and solve problems without supervision of the manager and perform duties within clearly defined policies, procedures and guidelines of Crew Pacific.

JOB DUTIES FOR THE RECEPTIONIST/SALES PERSON/SOCIAL MEDIA WILL CONSIST OF

q  ANSWERING TELEPHONE AND E-MAILS: Regarding Australian and International Maritime qualifications, these qualifications will cover the following sectors:

*     STCW95 – Explaining the difference between the MCA STCW95 and the AMSA STCW95 and where they can complete the courses

*     Referring crew that want to register with Crew Pacific to the recruitment consultant. Some of the tickets above and enquiries can also be referred to the recruitment consultant.

*     Scanning/Compressing references and documents

*     You will be requested to assist in Recruitment in the following areas; reference checking crew, assisting with the write up off job descriptions and if really busy in crew placement assisting with sending jobs out to crew, and resumes to the yachts.

q  You will be requested to sale Crew Pacific's short Super yacht courses:

*     2 DAY SUPER YACHT TWO DAY INDUCTION COURSE

*     5/8 DAY SUPER YACHT STEWARD/ESS  COURSE

*     8/10 DAY SUPER YACHT STEWARD/ESS/DECKHAND COURSE

*     5 DAY SUPER YACHT DECKHAND COURSE

q  Organizing assessment test for students to complete after they have completed the courses

Setting up the class rooms for the teachers (i.e.water/training equipment that maybe needed for teaching). The setting up of class-rooms will need to be done either in the evening (at the end of a teaching day) or early morning, before class commences.

q  Advising customers about Crew Pacific’s “Free career evenings” that are held around Australia. (booking them into the Free career evenings)

q  Using EFPOS and credit card machine.

q  Have a strong knowledge of all Social Media platforms “Face book”,  “Instagram ” and "Canva" this area plays a big part of your daily duties.

q  From time to time requested to attend career/days or nights

q  Sound knowledge of Microsoft (Word 2007),

q  Be able to type at least 60 words a minute (touch typing if possible)

q  Current drivers licence, so that you can pick up training manuals, or banking and mailing post.

STEWARD/ESS TRAINER SECTOR WILL CONSIST OF:

q  Crew Pacific conducts 5/8 day super yacht steward/ess courses (At least two courses a month are run) and you will be required to teach two modules (Laundry formalities& interior and exterior detailing)

q  You will need to hold a ABN number for training these courses.

q  Your hourly rate will be $25.00 per hour (then after 3 month probation) will be reviewed depending on how your teaching abilities are progressing.

q  The teacher will be required to have at least 2-5 years super yacht experience holding positions of chief stewardess or 2nd stewardess on large yachts: Strong experience on both International and National super yachts; worked on both charter and private vessels. Have a strong eye to detail.

q  Female or male’s can apply.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must hold a cert IV certificate – train the trainer If you do not hold it is prepared to obtain it down the track.

q Excellent communication skills.

q  Strong knowledge in maritime qualifications, both National and International tickets (AMSA & MCA) tickets

q  Have worked on both International and National superyachts arranging 35m +

q  Have good time management is a must.

q  Must be organised, clean, tidy, and well presented person.

q  Driver license is required

q  Must be a good listener and be able to relay instructions clearly to students

LOCATION: Must be a Cairns based person. Must be able to drive and have their own transport as you will be required to transport students to excursion in Crew Pacific's business car.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  

RECEPTIONIST/SALE SSECTOR:- Casual

q  You will be required 3 days a week(Monday/Wednesday/Friday) work from 8.30am- 4.00pm. When courses are on you will be required for 4 days a week 8am-4pm.

q  Hourly rate: $26.65 AUD

STEWARD/ESS-TEACHING SECTOR:- Casual

q  Would need to hold an ABN number or we can arrange another form of payment.

SALARY:$25.00 AUD per hour for the first 3 courses completed. Hourly rate will be reviewed after three month probation

START DATE:   Be able to start immediately (This would be preferred as a hand-over can be provided to you) otherwise you can start on the 15th July 2019
