Job Description

YACHT INFORMATION: A 30mmotor yacht (private) is looking for a chef/deckhand to join their crew of 4.The yacht will be cruising the South Pacific, and based out of Fiji .The chef/deckhand will need tobe enthusiastic, creative and be able to think outside the circle. A Strong eyeto detail within the exterior of the yacht and be a very organised person. Havean outgoing and flexible personality, be able to work in a small teamenvironment, be well organised at all times. Must be Australian/New ZealanderOR able to work in Australia. Preference is given to those that are livingwithin New Zealand and Australia. The yacht will consider candidates overseashowever you will need to be prepared to pay for your flight home and must havea Australian working visa. There is a 3 month probation period. EXTRA INFORMATION: The preference is for the chef to be well experienced in working on a charter yacht, prepared and experienced for the requirements that come with charter guests as opposed to privately Would consider a chef with 12 months experience however the yacht would prefer someone with 2 years super yacht experience Must have boat and jet ski licence The candidate needs to be a male as you will be sharing a captain with the engineer on charter   70% CHEF DUTIES will include;You will be required to cook for crew when there are no guests or charterson board, when a guest trip or charter arises you will be required to chef forcrew and guests 30% DECKHAND DUTIES: Divemaster; strong fisherman and can help out on deck when needed  QUALIFICATIONS: STCW95have at least 6-12 months experience on a similar size yacht working as a chefand if you have completed a super yacht deckhand course this would be a bonus.Must have worked on charteryachts of a similar size if larger this would be a bonus. An outgoing andfriendly attitude will be required. Be a qualified chef and be able tocook healthy food for the crew. Any medical background or skills would be anadvantage. START DATE: Late July – Mid August 2017 EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  PERMANENT FULLTIME                                              SALARY: $65,000AUD pending on Experience.
